Any one here financed by AMLAK? They called me up and asked me to pay AED 5k towards Mortgage resgistration of the unit with the developer and the SPA issuance. Does any one know what this is all about and why I need to pay? Your inputs would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hi there,

Am most pleased to discover this link.
I invested in Tower D of skycourts during July'08 through the Landmark-Amlak nexus held at Jumeirah hotel.
Since then I have visited the site almost every other week and being an architect myself, have met and discussed the progress with the site engineers on a montly basis.
A few concerns can be noted ie:- when will the surrounding plots be developed to create a neighbourhood, with the downturn most developers may be discouraged to commence building and that would leave only skycourts completed by Dec'09.
The other point to be noted is how many skycourts investors would take possesion/handover of their apts considering the current scenario?
Will post more recent pics from my next trip to site.
Look forward to more meaningful discussions on this subject.
Regards.

Well even if 50% of people come and fill the apartments neighbourhood is not required.
My only concern is that every month I call deyaar they give me a different date of completion. In May they said Dec 2009 in June they said 1st quarter 2010 and in june mid they said 2nd quarter 2010 and now i was just reading in one of the blogs that someone was told 3rd quarter 2010. Ofcourse when we visit the site the work is in good progress and 3 towers have achieved the maximum ht.

Hi Jai,

Looking to the progress i don't see handover to go beyond Dec'09. A significant part Tower A has been covered to exterior glass pane work. Also the inside painting and sanitary contracts have been awarded way back, so there seems to be the planning is on highly professional side.

Also i find the comment above yours from an architect friend very much informative. I strongly believe the level of discussions that going on between the Skycourters is going to make Skycourts a great and lively community.
I would prefer members adding Name and emails to help better interaction.

One important point that needs to be highlighted is 30% discount offered by various developers in backdrop of financial downtrend and sharp fall in construction costs.
